Dear readers,
Serenata is not only celebrating its 15th anniversary
this year, we are also about to close one of the best
years in our company history. Many new hotel clients
have selected our NetHotel CRM solution and our Serenata
@mail guest communication platform. Among them are
relexa hotels, The Dorchester Collection, Groupe Sibuet,
Orient-Express Hotels and Fleming’s Hotels &
Restaurants. Moreover, we have successfully carried out
many further hotel installations with Mövenpick, Four
Seasons, Shangri-la, Kempinski and Como hotels. Overall,
we have won more than 150 new high-profile hotel
contracts in 2011.
This year is a year of true
celebration for Serenata. While we look back over 15
years of success with our hotel technology partners –
our customer base has also grown significantly at the
same time. This is the best proof of the quality of our
products and services and the future promises an
excellent outlook for even more opportunity. The new
partner contract with MICROS-Fidelio helps maximize the
return on investment for our Suite8 and OPERA customers
and will gain us additional momentum. Consequently we have expanded our staff with six
additional software consultants to reflect the growing
need to provide enhanced CRM consulting services,
including customer value analysis, strategic marketing
planning and campaign management and lead generation
support. There are also a series of new product
highlights that will support your business (see related
article). Our new CRM release will also be a direct
reflection of the focus group we held in September to
find out what our customers think and about their “Most
Wanted Features” in CRM.
But most of all, we
would like to thank our customers for 15 wonderful years
and the great partnership and support we have been
blessed to experience over all those years.

Welcome Ritz Paris
We are excited to welcome the Ritz Paris, a further
member of the Leading Hotels of the World as a Serenata
customer. In addition to the Hotel Bayerischer Hof
Munich and the Ritz London, the legendary Parisian grand
hotel located at the Place Vendôme has chosen Serenata
@mail.
The Ritz Paris does not only use the
reservation confirmation to inform guests about the
available restaurants, bars and outlets but also
confirms special requirements and preferences to the
guest, such as for example the wish for a smoking room
or a bottle of champagne at arrival. Additionally, the
confirmation provides an upgrade function which the
guest can book immediately.

Hotel Schweizerhof Bern uses
guest survey option for e-concierge questionnaire
Serenata @mail has been running successfully at the
Hotel Schweizerhof in Bern for several weeks now. A
specialty of this installation is the entirely new use
of our guest survey module. This service has so far been
used for online guest surveys and customer satisfaction
following a guest’s check-out. In conjunction with
@mail, the guest for instance receives a personalized
post-stay email, in which he can provide feedback on the
stay.
The Hotel Schweizerhof, in contrast, uses
the Guest Survey option BEFORE the guests arrive. They
receive a pre-arrival email with a questionnaire, in
which they can provide their own personal preferences
during the stay. The five-star service of the hotel then
has ample opportunity to meet these wishes.

SIDE Hotel Hamburg
in Hamburg
The SIDE Hotel Hamburg is the first property of the
Seaside hotel group to use Serenata @mail to enhance the
guest communication before and after the guest stay.
Inquiries such as personalized booking confirmations,
cancellations and pre-arrival and post-stay notes are
now generated automatically from MICROS-Fidelio Version
7 and sent via @mail.
The clear design of the hotel is consistently
reflected in form and function in the @mail templates.
The post-stay note for the guest, for instance, provides
an opportunity to participate directly in an online
customer satisfaction survey, the possibility to rate
the hotel via Tripadvisor or to subscribe the newsletter
to profit from future offers of the design hotel.

Como Hotels opt for Serenata @mail
The five-star hotel group COMO Hotels and Resorts
increasingly counts on Serenata @mail. The luxury hotel
group headquartered in Singapore is known for its unique
and individually managed properties. Among the eight
hotels are the Metropolitan London, Metropolitan
Bangkok, The Halkin in London, Parrot Cay on Turks &
Caicos Islands, Cocoa Island on the Maldives as well as
the two Uma holiday retreats on Bali and in Bhutan. The
COMO Shambhala Estate on Bali, the flagship of the
wellness brand with the same name (COMO Shambhala) also
forms part of the group.
Serenata @mail has been
operating successfully in the Metropolitan London since
February of this year and supports the hotel with
practically every conceivable template for guest
communication, from the reservation and cancellation
confirmation to the inquiry email to the pre-arrival and
thank-you notes following the guest’s stay. The sending
is carried out directly from MICROS-Fidelio OPERA PMS.
In April, the solution was implemented in the
Metropolitan Bangkok integrated with MICROS-Fidelio
Version 7. In the meantime, the hotel has upgraded to
MICROS-Fidelio OPERA PMS and the @mail installation was
upgraded accordingly.
The installation for The
Halkin London has been scheduled for November, followed
by the Resort Hotel Parrot Cay on Turks & Caicos. Both
properties use OPERA PMS.

Lindner Hotels & Resorts extends
contract with Serenata IntraWare
One of our long-standing customers, Lindner Hotels &
Resorts, has opted for a long-term extension of the
NetHotel CRM contract. A decisive factor in favor of
Serenata was not only the promising functionality of the
Serenata CRM applications but also the seamless
integration of the Serenata product suite into the
MICROS-Fidelio OPERA Enterprise solution. In combination
with MICROS-Fidelio, Serenata thus forms the foundation
of the future software strategy of Lindner Hotels &
Resorts.
Moreover, we are excited about the new
group-wide contract for Serenata @mail. In addition to
the central marketing campaigns, the hotel group would
like to promote and further personalize the local guest
communication true to the motto: Lindner Hotels &
Resorts. Not just better. Different.

Serenata @mail integrates with the
eStandby functionality offered by Nor1
The Kameha Grand Bonn is one of the first hotels in
Germany to use the so-called eStandby Upgrade
functionality offered by the technology partner Nor1
integrated with Serenata @mail. The upgrade program
supports hotels to generate additional revenue streams
by optimizing their room type occupancy while at the
same time offering their guests additional room
comforts. With the Nor1 @mail integration, guests
receive, with their @mail reservation confirmation, a
Nor1 Link showing a whole range of possible room
upgrades at very favorable conditions. Whether the
upgrade is granted or not depends on the availability
upon the guest’s check-in. This means that the hotel has
a chance to sell the room at the best price up to the
last moment.

with Serenata IntraWare GmbH
Hotels benefit from the unique integration
of the e-marketing solution Serenata @mail with OPERA
PMS and MICROS-Fidelio Suite8.
MICROS-Fidelio, worldwide leading PMS supplier and
Serenata IntraWare GmbH, international provider of
e-marketing and CRM solutions for the hotel industry
have formed a sales partnership for Serenata @mail.
Serenata @mail offers a cost-effective solution for
emailing guest correspondence directly from their
property management systems. This simplifies workflows
and substantially reduces costs. Based on professionally
designed HTML documents, individualized booking
confirmations, pre-arrival offers with upgrade function
and post-stay emails are created. Integrated guest
